Priyanka’s experience encompasses research, capacity building and raising awareness related to design of energy efficient buildings as well as integration of energy
efficient technologies in building design. Her work spans various aspects of decision making for a sustainably built environment in the Indian context.
Having contributed to the development of GRIHA (Green Rating for integrated Habitat Assessment),
an evaluation tool to design operate and evaluate and maintain resource-efficient buildings,
now the national rating system for green buildings in India, she is also associated with implementation of the green rating in upcoming buildings.
As Sr. Programme Manager of ADaRSH, Priyanka works closely with the private sector and Indian government at Central,
State and Municipal levels for large scale adoption and implementation for GRIHA across the country.
Priyanka has served on the Expert Group on Low Carbon Strategy for Inclusive Growth for Building and Urban Planning formed
by the Planning Commission, Government of India. Priyanka also served on the Board of UNEP Sustainable Building Climate Initiative (UNEP_SBCI).
As member of the UNEP SBCI Advocacy Committee, she has contributed to the development of the Common Carbon Metric (CCM)
