Experiential Visit to Suzlon One Earth Campus
Sustainability Initiatives organized a site visit to the Suzlon One Earth facility to understand the development and operation of a green building. With over 8,00,000 sq ft built-up area, it is a bench mark project for energy efficient and sustainable infrastructure. Suzlon One Earth has been awarded the highest LEED Platinum and GRIHA 5-stars rating and has also won numerous other national and international awards. It is the first corporate in India to achieve this dual honor.
The tour of the building was given by Mr Nitin Gurav of Suzlon. He explained the sustainable architecture principles on which the building is built and the various energy, waste and water management techniques used through-out the building. The Organic Waste converter, Building Management system, renewable energy applications present on site were explained to the students. The One Earth campus is built adhering to the global norms of renewable energy usage, health and safety, optimal energy planning and socio economic responsibility.
