It was an immense joy for Sustainability Initiatives to have successfully organized the two-day 5th GRIHA Regional Conference in Nashik Engineering Cluster, Nashik on 7-8 Nov, 2014. The Conference was organized in association with ADaRSH (Association for Development and Research on Sustainable Habitats), a secretariat jointly set up by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and The Energy and Resource Institute (TERI). The sessions marked the significant environmental aspects like Energy Conservation Building Codes, Eco-Tourism for Sustainable Development, Environmental Technologies for Buildings and Environmental Clearances for Construction Projects.

As the eminent speakers such as Mr. Rajan Rawal, Mrs. Kishori Gadre, Ar. Pradeep Sachdeva, Ar. Sanjay Prakash, Ar. Priyanka Kocchar, Ms. Mili Majumdar and Dr. Rajesh Biniwale shared their experience and contribution towards sustainability, thought-provoking panel discussions were led by respected panelists- Dr. Dhananjay Gandhe, Mr. Tejas Chavan, Dr. Omprakash Kulkarni, Ar. Hrishikesh Kulkarni and Ar. Anagha Paranjape. The participants also involved themselves with crucial questions and suggestions. We hope that innovative approaches would keep arising and the implementation of ideas may not just remain as an anticipation, but will comply in days/years to come.
