A Swachhta App download drive
Pune city is a part of the program ‘Swachh Suvekshan-2017, which is announced by Ministry of Urban Development. It was launched to assess and rank 500 cities and towns based on levels of sanitation and efforts made by respective urban local bodies to maintain cleanliness. The Ministry released a mobile application (App) to help these 500 cities and towns to prepare for the survey to be conducted in January 2017.
Sustainability Initiatives supports this program of MoUD and to help in the effort of cleanliness, organized ‘A Swachhta App download drive’. The participating organizations included
VK: a Architecture, VK: e Environmental, VK:i Interiors, VK:u Urban, Resilient Cosmeceuticals Pvt. Ltd, GeneSupport and GeneOmbio Technologies Pvt. Ltd. And their employees.
On Friday 23 December 2016, the employees of the above organizations downloaded the ‘Swachhta App’, assisted by a team of volunteers and Ms. Swati Pednekar. The team of SI encouraged everyone to use the App to report dirty areas in the city and become a catalyst in making Pune Clean. Every employee actively participated in this activity to make Pune a clean and healthy city.
