Celebrated World Water Day

Since 1993, March 22 has been marked as “World Water Day” every year to highlight the importance of freshwater.
This day is meant to raise awareness about 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water.
On the occasion of World Water Day, in association with ‘Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), we had arranged a River Walk at the Mula Mutha banks during the morning hours on 20th March 2022. Around 50 people showed up and a wholesome, informative discussion followed for the next 2 hours.
Certain important topics were addressed by the experts from Jeevitnadi such as the recent Riverfront Development Plan for the city and how it will transform the Mula Mutha River.
Along with that, the main focus was on understanding the biodiversity around the river area, knowing the history of the river, getting informed about the ecosystem and the insight about right approaches towards restoring and maintaining it.
