We are delighted to share that Pune Municipal Corporation has been awarded IGBC Platinum Certificate under the IGBC Green Existing Cities Rating Program. The initiative was supported by CREDAI and the documentation was conducted by VK:e environmental & Sprout under the guidance of Dr. Poorva Keskar, Director of VK:e environmental and Trustee of Sustainability Initiatives. The Pune Municipal Corporation and supporting organizations were felicitated by CII & IGBC Pune Chapter during the event “Abhinandan”, in the presence of eminent guests including MP Rajyasabha, Vandana Chavan, S Chokalingam, IAS DG YASHADA, Vikran Kumar, IAS, Commissioner PMC, Sanjay Kolte, IAS, CEO Pune Smart City, Ravindra Binawade, Addl Commissioner PMC, Kunal Khemnar, IAS, Addl Commissioner PMC, Pradeep Bhargava, Chairman CII Green CO, M Anand, IGBC Principal Counsellor, and JP Shroff President IGBC Pune Chapter. Sustainability Initiatives being a part of VK:e environmental, would like to congratulate the Pune Municipal Corporation and the supporting organizations for their efforts this brilliant achievement.
Amidst many urban issues, we feel it is important to acknowledge the positive efforts taken by the entire team of PMC towards the Green City measures. The was awarded through a rigorous process which took 2 years during which all teams worked towards common Goal!
Various policy level intervention and on ground documentation, pilot projects with substantial environmental and social benefits were all a part of the IGBC Green Existing Cities Rating.
