Art of Living Foundation and Social Responsibility, in association with, Sustainability Initiatives, organized A National CSR Conference for NGOs and Corporates on 15th August 2017 at Pandit Bhimsen Joshi Kalamandir, Aundh in Pune. The conference was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr. Girish Bapat, Guardian Minister of Pune. Other dignitaries and luminaries present at the event included Mr. Popatrao Pawar, Social Activist; Mr. Chandrakant Dalavi, Divisional Commissioner, Pune Division, Mr. Hanumantrao Gaikwad, CMD of BVG group, Mr. Krushnakumar Goyal, Kohinoor group, Mr. S.R. Joshi, DeAsara foundation, Mr. Harshal Vibhandik, Rambhau Mhalagi Prabodhani and Mr. Vijay Waware, CSR Head- Tech Mahindra Foundation. SI trustee Ar. Anagha Paranjape – Purohit was one of the speakers at the Conference and she spoke on the role of NGOs in civil society and how to measure the success of an NGO’s work.

The book ‘NATE SAMAJYASHI – 501 NGO’s introduction’ was launched at the conference. The book is a compilation of information about 520 NGOs across Maharashtra. The book recognizes the tremendous efforts and the power of NGOs who have made a remarkable contribution for Society. The purpose of this Conference was to bring together, on a single platform, all the NGOs and the possible CSR funding companies and facilitate interaction. The conference was a beginning toward developing this partnership.
