Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) operates buses within Pune and Pimpri- Chinchwad jurisdiction covering380 routes. The bus routes and bus timing details are available online.
But most of the users are unaware of this facility and at times unable to access internet while travelling to get the updates. Sustainability Initiatives believes that if public bus transport is made hassle free, then maximum citizens will opt for this sustainable mode of transport. Providing bus route information on bus stops is one such measure identified by SI for convenience of the bus users.
Sustainability Initiatives has developed graphical maps of some of the PMPML bus routes to start with and co-ordinating with the authority for putting these maps on the bus stops for some routes on pilot basis.
