“Mamta Foundation, a charitable trust working for the rehabilitation of HIV +ve children and women and Anagha Paranjape-Purohit, Trustee of Sustainability Initiatives conducted a workshop for making eco-friendly Ganesha using clay on 1 September 2016. Keeping with the spirit of all Hindu traditions and rituals which aim to make us more aware of nature, the eco friendly Ganesha idols were made to be given to some key influential people in Pune so that there is a commitment to celebrate Ganeshotsav in an eco friendly way this year.

The children enjoyed the experience of making the idols and everyone was pleasantly surprised when children’s creativity and talent was showcased in making beautiful and Ganeshas. Anagha Paranjape-Purohit, made an appeal to many Punekars to celebrate this year’s Ganeshotsav in an eco friendly way.”
