
Sustainability Initiatives created awareness on Indoor Air Quality by presenting air purifying Indoor Plants to senior officers of the Pune Municipal Corporation on the occassion of World Environment Day. The theme for this year's World Environment Day was Air Pollution.

On this occasion Sustainability Initiatives decided to have a panel discussion to understand the air pollution in Pune specifically and other cities in India and discuss various measures that are being taken and that should be taken to address the rising air pollution in Indian cities.

Sustainability Initiatives disposed of e-waste collected from its own staff and the offices and staff VK:a architecture, VK:i interior, VK:e environmental and VK:u urban through SWaCH; an authorized e-waste collector and disposer. This initiative was undertaken on the occasion of Earth Day on 22nd April 2019.

Sustainability Initiatives along with VK:a architecture, VK:e environmental, VK:i interiors and VK:u urban employees observe Earth Hour on the third friday of every month where all fans, lights, ACs and lifts are shut for one hour from 10.00 am to 11.00 am.

19th Jan 2019, Maha NGO Federation, Rotary club, Maharashtra Rajya Marathi Patrakar Sangh and Social Responsibility in association with Sustainability Initaitives, Pune, RISO, Samgra Nadi and Jio Foundation organised State level Workshop on Drought at Ganesh Kala Krida Mandir, Swarget, Pune.

Sustainability Initiatives arranged a visit of students of Victorious Kidss Educares school to SWaCH to learn about solid waste management on 4th September 2019.

Sustainability Initiatives arranged a visit for M. Arch students of D.Y. Patil College of Architecture Lohegaon to 'Suzlon One Earth' green building on 22nd August 2019.

Noted urban planner Sulakshna Mahajan and Karuna Gokhale’s book by Rajhans Prakashan ‘तुम्ही बी घडा ना’ was launched in the same event. This book is translated from an original Catalonian book by Ex Deputy Mayor of Barcelona Mr Antoni Vives.

Launch of the book 'Saffron Swords' by Manoshi Sinha Rawal was hosted by Sustainability Initiatives in association with INDIC, Pune on 3rd of August 2019.
