Sustainability Initiatives organized a green building visits to a commercial project, Amar Tech Park and a residential project, Anjali (PJA), for the students of the 4th year from VIT’s PVP College of Architecture, Pune.

The project Amar Tech Park, Balewadi is one of the highest rated green projects in the city by IGBC under the IGBC New Building Rating system, which has received the Platinum certification. It has been constructed by Amar Builders and green certified by VK:e environmental.

Similarly, the project Anjali, Bhandarkar road is one of the highest rated green projects in the city by IGBC under IGBC Green Homes Rating System, which has received Platinum certification. It has been constructed by Pandit Javdekar Associates and green certified by VK:e environmental.

The students were given a tour of the buildings by the consulting expert. The visit explained the sustainable architecture principles on which the buildings are designed and the green features implemented to achieve the target rating. For eg, landscape design, rain water harvesting, energy efficient lighting, water efficient fixtures, installation of STP and OWC.

Priyal Deshpande from VK:e environmental in the presence of Mr. Amol Umbarje from Sustainability Initiatives and Ms. Meenakshi Sarawgi from VIT’s PVP College of Architecture.  Around 40 students from VIT’s PVP College of Architecture attended the visit.
