A tree plantation drive was organised by Forest Department in association with Sustainability Initiatives and VK Group on 30th July where 86 volunteers from different organizations participated and planted 161 trees on Mhatoba Tekdi, Pune.This plantation drive was a successful event which involved people from different age groups, along with grownups there were tiny volunteers too! Their tiny efforts will go a long way we feel. When it comes to plantation drives, it’s important to keep in mind that native plants are planted and it’s equally important is the handholding where they should be maintained until they can survive on their own. We also plan to take the follow-up on the growth of these plants with Forest Department.
